Why Attend?
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) establishes a framework of workplace safety requirements that most businesses must follow. Containing more than 17,000 safety standards, the OSHA “general industry” rules are both massive and complex.
The Michigan Chamber’s 10- and 30-hour OSHA compliance courses are designed to give detailed information on how OSHA must be implemented in the workplace and how to recognize hazards. Led by an experienced OSHA authorized instructor, these courses are intended to help the people in your company understand the regulations and how to comply. Better compliance leads to fewer violations and fewer violations result in less expense, less fines and fewer injuries. Bottom line--understanding the OSHA standards and recognizing hazards will keep your employees safe and save your company money.
Participants who successfully complete either the OSHA 10 or 30-Hour course will receive an official course completion card from federal OSHA. The card currently does not expire and can be used during an inspection, as it demonstrates your efforts and commitment to voluntary compliance with OSHA standards and regulations.
Participants who successfully complete the 30-Hour course will also become certified as a
Forklift TTT.
